A benefit game between the St. Catherine’s Club and an all-star team made up of players from other Boston Park League teams who are donating their services will be played this afternoon at Barry Playground in Charlsetown for John Regan, former third baseman of the St. Catherine’s Club, who broke his leg last week in a league game. Dick Casey’s Neponset team won the Boston Park League championship last night at the Dorchester Town Field before 7000 fans. defeating Jordan Marsh, 6-2, in the fifth game of the series. Casey had won the first three games of the series and the fourth ended in a tie. Read more
